Large Primitive Hand Carved Wooden Shallow Trencher Plate Serving Platter

Large Primitive Hand Carved Wooden Shallow Trencher Plate Serving Platter

Sale price $125.00 Regular price $150.00

Description:  This rustic, wooden serving tray from the early 20th century was possibly once used to serve fruits or small food. Most likely a tribal crafted piece, it's hand-carved and hewed from a single piece of wood with three early, 1" brace repairs on the inner sides. It retains a dry, raw texture and measures just over 21 inches in width and a 2 1/2" tall, shallow interior. A one-of-a-kind work of art, although not perfect with an out-of-round shape and asymmetrical handles, it's the originality we admire for primitive decorating and collecting.
