Original Primitive Oak Bentwood Dry Grain Measure ~1800s
Description: During the earlier years, wooden buckets similar to this one were common for measuring dry ingredients. This original bentwood dry grain measure has a beautiful oak appearance with character that is one-of-a-kind. Don’t overlook the all-over natural age darkening with slightly out-of-round appearance. It does exhibit several splits and peeling within the wood, although it is sturdy and strong for the age. If you love original, Americana Country Primitives, this one will not disappoint.

Condition: Previously owned - used. Condition is consistent with age and use. Remaining large and small nails all appear to be original or very early with missing nails in areas. No repairs. Exhibits splits and some chips in the wood, although surprisingly still strong construction. Wood piece on bottom front is broke and hanging on only by nail (as shown). Slightly out-of-round shape.
