Primitive Redware Ovoid Dark Brown Jug Ribbed Strap Handle 10" Pre-1850
Description: Compliment your primitive decorating with this early redware jug from the Northeastern United States region. The exterior showcases a dark brown, almost black glaze, possibly Albany. In ovoid form, it has aged gracefully with some chips, rubbing and glaze wear. It stands just over 10 inches tall with a bulbous belly that tapers to a round footed base and applied, ribbed strap handle. An early piece of redware with nice form and primitive appearance.
