Antique Black Kitchen Scale by Landers, Frary & Clark Early 1900s
Product Description: Bring a touch of rustic character to your living space with this early Columbia Family Scale with original black paint by Landers, Frary & Clark of New Britain, Connecticut. Constructed of metal with a circular, open-face with a glassless front, this scale showcases its age, originality and even though it is not perfect, it does have a great look. Once served a purpose in the American kitchens is now a wonderful rustic accent for your home décor.

Condition: Previously owned – used. Condition is consistent with age and use. Considered good to fair condition. Advertising is still mostly clear on front dial face. Worn black paint with areas of rusting including body, platform and base. Dial face is worn with areas of rusting and wear (as shown). Scale works and performs as it should although the top portion of calibration knob appears to be broken off, as many appear to be. It still turns and dial can be adjusted with knob, if necessary. Platform is functional although the front right corner is slightly bent downward (as shown). The nut underneath platform for tightening screw is missing therefore platform spins, not tight.
