Description: Treasure a remarkable piece of American textile history with this original school girl needlepoint marking sampler by Mary Ann Jacoby - completed at age 10. Her work includes different style cross stitched upper and lower case alphabets and a numeral on linen ground. Proudly displayed under glass with a light blue mat and wooden frame with dark finish, each stitch reflects the dedication and skill of Mary Ann’s cross stitch accomplishment, making this sampler a treasured collectible for collectors or textile lovers and those who appreciate authentic period pieces.

Condition:  Previously owned – used.  Condition is consistent with age.  Sampler: Areas of fading and darkening which is common with most 19th century samplers. One ¾”x 1 “hole in center next to “X”. Frame: Rubs to corners. Not certain date when sampler was actually mounted to frame. Sampler has been acquired in as-is framed condition and has not been removed to inspect edges of original sampler. Paper back has separated from frame in areas (as shown).
