Description: This Antique Red Transferware Platter which will add charm to your kitchen and dining area. Crafted by William Adams, Staffordshire, England during the early-to-mid-1800s, this 17 inch long oval platter transports you to a bygone era with an intricate Chinoiserie landscape of a horse drawn chariot with gazebos and minarets in the background. Decorated cartouches on the scalloped outer edge are adorned with flowers and repeated scenes. A transferware treasure which brings historical sophistication and conversation to your home.

Light wear, rubbing, glaze skips on back, rubbing and nick on rim. One ½” scratch on front scene (as shown). Only visible when turned towards light.
