Antique Wooden Firkin Bucket Small 7” Sugar Bucket Lid Bail Handle and Grip

Regular price $195.00

Description: Discover the primitive charm of this Antique Wooden Firkin Bucket. Once popular during the 19th century households to store a variety of kitchen cooking essentials such as sugar or flour, it is believed that this lidded wooden firkin may have once held a moisture substance like butter or cheese. Measuring 7 inches tall with a metal, wire swing handle and wooden grip, it showcases exceptional original appearance. The slightly tapered, cylinder shape body is constructed with staved wooden strips, secured with three finger lap bands, tack nails, early copper tack nails, and staples. A superb piece and a nice smaller size for those who collect authentic early American kitchen woodenware.
