Product Description:  Used early on, mortar and pestles were standard tools used to mash ingredients such as herbs and other substances for apothecary applications.  Today, made of a variety of materials, it is a popular kitchen collectible.  This early, solid brass mortar and pestle set offers character. The mortar offers a brassy appearance with light natural patina, where the pestle offers a bit darker brass, bronze look with gorgeous character showing signs of wear from age.
