Product Description: Pitchers and Wash Basins were a necessity for personal hygiene before the invent of indoor plumbing. This 19th century Pitcher & Wash Basin by Copeland, a prominent British pottery company in England, is a timeless beauty. This pitcher and wash-up-bowl features a blue ribbon transfer pattern with blue bands of decorative floral. It bears the Copeland mark along with the British registration mark of June 11, 1861. If you don’t mind original crazing and discoloration which tells the story of the object's history and age, this pitcher and bowl set will add historic charm and sophistication to any collection or décor.

Condition: Previously owned - used. Crazing and discoloration are present, more so on pitcher. Pitcher: Two nicks on tip of spout. Interior and exterior crazing and discoloration. Base exhibits a 3 inch hairline crack which extends up lower belly. Water tested for 15 minutes with no signs of leaks. Cannot guarantee longevity of those findings. Basin/Bowl is considered good condition. Rim is smooth with exception of a few small nicks and discoloration. No cracks. Scratches, some lighter discoloration on inner base. Being sold for decoration only.
