Description: This exquisite Antique English Biscuit Jar by William Woods & Co., Staffordshire, England showcases the distinctive Gaudy Welsh style motifs in the rich Imari color palette - cobalt blue, russet and creamy white. It features a transfer print with hand-painted details featuring a bold floral design on two sides with scattered pedals and/or leaves. Highlighted with delicate gold gilding and beaded details, it retains its original electro-plated nickel silver lid, collar and bail handle. This finely crafted biscuit jar will bring a vibrant, cheerful presence to your kitchen setting.

Condition:  Previously owned – used.  Condition is commensurate with age and use. Considered good condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. All-over crazing is present. More visible on base. Inside is clean with some pinpoint age spots. Gold gilt wear in areas. A few cobalt blue splatters on base trim (as shown). Patinated surface on nickel-plated lid and mounts.
