Product Description:  A delightful mid-19th century English Octagonal Small Platter. Featuring a charming purple transfer print with intricate floral and scroll designs with polychrome hand-applied details in green, blue and yellow. While this is a treasured find for admirers of transferware, it bears authentic ageing with a horizontal 3 ¾ inch hairline crack and authentic aging that speaks to its storied past. A timeless piece that is worthy of display in a special spot in your home.

Maker: No visible maker marks. Possibly Ridgway & Morley or Francis, Morley & Co.

Condition:  Previously owned - used.  Condition consistent with age. Over 175 years old.  No chips. All-over crazing is present with areas of discoloration. Small scratches are present on face and back of platter. A 3 ¾ inch hairline crack near raised base section which appears to go through to other side within colored border ( as shown two separate photos). Stilt marks on back from the making – confirming authenticity of platter.
