Product Description: Samuel Brady and John J. Ryan were 19th century potters who operate the Ellenville Pottery in Ellenville, New York during the late 19th century. This simple one gallon Salt Glazed Stoneware Jug, once likely held whiskey or moonshine and bears the Brady & Ryan Ellenville, N.Y. impressed mark. Simple attractive jug, a surviving example from the Hudson Valley region.
