Antique Small Dark Brown Glazed Redware Preserve Crock 4 1/4

Product Description: This early American redware preserve crock captures the utilitarian spirit of early daily life. Standing 4 ¼” tall in a simple form, it showcases an internal and external dark brown glazed body with a distinctive incised ring around the upper portion. Despite its imperfections and condition, it still holds its authentic Americana period charm and display nicely.

Condition: Used. Condition is commensurate with age and use. One ¼”and one 1/8”chip to rim along with other nicks and glaze imperfections. A start of a crack at the 1/4"chip on rim along with two thin hairline cracks near each other which wrap over lip into interior (as shown in 2nd and 3rd to last photo). A challenge to visually detect. Water tested – no leaks. Uneven glaze imperfection, skips or touch marks around bottom exterior base. A few nicks and/or small scrapes on interior. Despite some condition issues, remains strong and still functional for decorative purposes.
