Antique Wicker Woven Aqua Demijohn Glass Bottle 16" Wood Base Ring
Product Description: This original Wicker-Wrapped Demijohn glass bottle captures the character of early storage vessels carrying wine, spirits, and other liquids. The glass bottle itself in a blue-aqua color is wrapped with a single handle which has aged over the years into a deep, warm patina. It stands an impressive 16 inches high and features a round wooden composite ring at the base-an element that helped protect and stabilize the bottle and extend its life during transport and storage. Even with its authentic period aging and wear, it displays wonderfully-whether styled on its own, or grouped with other décor.

Condition: Used. Condition is consistent with age and use. Some nicks and a horizontal hairline crack is visible in exposed mouth of bottle. Still appears to be strong. Cannot guarantee condition of unseen, wrapped portion of bottle. Appears to be a solid bottle. Darker aged patina on wrap, rattan breaks in areas including a section at and under handle. With this damage to wrap, it is strongly recommended not to carry this using the handle, as this could eventually pull away. Top strand of wrap around mouth is loose and pulls upward towards lip of bottle when held by handle. Broken cork in mouth opening which prevents this piece to be used for inserting any floral objects. Due to age and use, it is not recommended to attempt removal of cork from glass.
