Product Description:  A fine example of an early, copper cauldron with a dovetail seam and iron bail handle.  Both sides of this fantastic kettle feature a twisted iron loop attached by two rivets on each side, which holds the iron bail handle.  The top rim is rolled and the bottom is folded over and hammered.  An early, dovetail construction seam is visible going vertically down one side.  A small pin hole is present on the bottom with moderate oxidation and natural surface patina.  Displays well as an accent piece on a porch or hearth display.

Condition: Previously owned - used.  Condition is consistent with age.  One pin hole is present on the bottom of the kettle (as shown in photo).  Heavy surface patina on handle and iron loop.  Moderate surface patina on exterior and interior with signs of blue oxidation forming, mostly around dovetail seam.
