Description: This 19th century English earthenware covered bowl is beautifully decorated in a green sponged speckled pattern on a creamy white background. The lid with a charming flower finial, fitting nicely and in the same pattern, is likely not original to the sugar bowl and a lid from the teapot in the same set, crafted with a vent hole. Standing with an overall height of 5 ½ inches, this timeless treasure is perfect for those who admire 19th-century English pottery and appreciate authentic period aging and early craftsmanship.

Condition: Used. Condition is commensurate with age and use. No repairs or cracks. All-over crazing is present and areas of discoloration. Although same pattern and fits nicely, the lid is likely "not" original to bowl. Darking and some staining underneath lid. Finial on lid is in good condition with no repairs. Small chip on rim of bowl. Normal age appropriate wear on body, lid and base.
