American Folk Art Tramp Art Wooden Carved Wall Box with One Drawer

Description:  Possibly during the Great Depression or earlier, this hand carved wall box with one pull-out drawer and porcelain knob was crafted with thin pieces of wood and small nails.  With each piece of Tramp Art being unique in its own way, this one stands 12 inches tall with a lovely, carved leafy back board and applied motif.  It is highlighted with what appears to be the original porcelain knob and eight button style decorations.

Condition: Previously owned - used.  Condition is consistent with age and normal use.  Overall good condition.  Sturdy construction with two well-done, honest repairs.  A 2 ½” thin crack on top left of back board, which appears, once to have gone through to the back and one ¼” crack below on corner.  Visibly, these repairs only appear to be a thin crack, not easily noticeable (as shown).  A few small nails may be missing. Knob and decorations have the original stain splattered on edges.
