Description: An early Redware Apple Butter Crock from the Northeastern United States region. Measuring 5 ½” tall it showcases a glazed, dark brown interior and exterior with an unglazed base and rim. Two incised rings encircle the upper body, adding to the character of this piece.

Condition: Used. Condition is commensurate with age. Considered good with areas of imperfections, nicks and a few white splatters on exterior body. No chips to the rim or base. Some interior glaze wear, more from mid to bottom of crock, possibly from mixing. Possible tight hairline towards base of crock, although visually it's a challenge to locate. Water tested for 15 minutes, holds water with no exterior moisture or leaks. No longer recommended for food use. Please refer to photographs.
