Light roughness and glaze wear/dullness on edges and ring on base (as shown). Extensive utensil marks and/or scratches on flat surface, sides and bottom. Not easily seen unless it is turned towards light or close up due to vibrant cobalt blue color, although it is present. A small bit of raised clay on front edge (as shown). On the back, to help date this piece, there are three marks on the slightly curved edge, not flat surface. It is not certain in this case if they are spur marks/kiln support marks from the making. The marks are not in a common triangular form as seen in most with third mark on opposite side being off-centered. Also, it is more common to find them on the flat surface of the pottery although spurs can also be used on edges to support the pottery. In this case, it is not determined. Please refer to photographs. Being sold as a decorative platter, no longer recommended for food use.
