Description: This classy, blue and white covered vegetable tureen in the “Marie” pattern by W.H. Grindley - Tunstall, Staffordshire, England will add vibrancy to your kitchen. In oval form, it is beautifully decorated with a blue transfer of fancy scrolls and floral on white with ornate double handles and matching lid. Printed on the back in blue bears the maker’s mark along with the English Registration Number 250387, confirming the pattern “Marie” was registered in 1895. An impressive, classy tureen, still in good condition with normal ageing which is discussed under “Condition”.

Condition: Previously owned - used.  Condition is consistent with age and use.  Overall very good condition with no cracks, chips or repairs. Crazing and discoloration is present in areas, moreso on the tureen base. Base exhibits all over crazing and discoloration. The top of lid is in exceptional condition with minimal crazing, if any. The glaze is in excellent condition. One ¼” scratch/nick on underside of lid with some discolored crazing around area (as shown). Some nicks around rim although no chips or cracks.
