Description: Add this antique yellow ware pitcher to your home décor for a blend of history and style. On two sides, it features a relief-molded decoration of a peacock with foliage complimented with a raised beaded motif on upper and lower body. The rich mottled brown Rockingham manganese glaze creates an amazing streaked tortoiseshell effect that exemplifies the craftsmanship of early Rockingham pottery.

Condition:  Previously owned – used.  All-Over crazing is present which is typical with early earthenware. Appearance of a separation under handle is only from the making of applying handle and is glazed over. One ½” chip to rim and 1” early chip to base edge, One 3” early vertical hairline crack which extends from rim and goes through to interior (as shown). With this, still appears to be strong and displays nicely. Being sold for decorative purposes only – no longer for serving or storing food.
