Early Pair of Ned Foltz Art Pottery Redware Plates - Cow and Pig c. 1982 & 1983
Description: Ned Foltz, a talented folk art potter in Reinholds, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania uses a variety of early German potter methods. Handcrafted and decorated, this fun pair of 9” glazed redware plates each depicts a silhouette of a farm animal; a cow and a pig with a coggle edge and sponge decorated rim. Although the edge of the pig plate has a ½” chip, they both are lovely examples of early pottery signed and dated by the artist.
