Large Antique Farmhouse Stoneware Bowl Blue Spongeware

Description:  A large glazed stoneware bowl that brings authentic farmhouse character to any space. This one-gallon vessel weighs just over 5 pounds with a tapered form, slightly out-of-round 11 3/4 to 12 inch top diameter and age-earned wear reflecting the charm of vintage craftsmanship and years of use. The exterior showcases a raised paneled motif with blue sponged decoration on grayish-white that adds warmth and depth. Perfect for kitchen styling, deep open shelves, or as a table centerpiece.

Condition:  Used. Condition is commensurate with age & use. Glaze wear ring around inner rim. Crazing and areas of glaze discoloration. Two tight vertical hairline cracks which wrap around rim from exterior to interior. One is approximately 4” vertical on interior extending 2”on exterior. Second is 4” vertical on interior and 3”on exterior (as shown). When water tested for 15 minutes, no noticeable leaks or exterior moisture.  The stoneware remains strong with no signs of weakness in those areas. Recommended for decorative purposes only.
